Keep this checklist handy whenever you prospect by phone!
✅ Before You Call
Check the National DNC Registry – Scrub your call lists.
Check Kale’s Internal DNC List – If someone has asked not to be contacted, you cannot call again.
Verify Business Relationship – You may call if:
You’ve completed a transaction in the last 18 months, OR
The person inquired in the last 3 months.
📋 When You Call
Only call between 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM local time.
Always identify yourself as a Kale Realty broker.
Respect requests to stop calling—add them to Kale’s internal DNC list immediately.
Keep notes on the source of your lead and outcome of the call.
🚫 Never Do
Do NOT cold-call numbers on the National DNC list without a valid exception.
Do NOT ignore “Do Not Call” or “Do Not Contact” requests (verbal or written).
Do NOT use autodialers or robocalls for residential prospects.
⚠️ Penalties for Violations
Fines of up to $51,744 per call (FTC/TCPA).
Possible state penalties and lawsuits.
Disciplinary action by Kale Realty.
💡 Best Practices
Use Kale-approved CRM tools with DNC compliance.
Focus on SOI, referrals, and networking for prospecting.
If unsure—don’t call. Choose another method (email, social, mailers).
Remember: Compliance is not optional—it protects you, the brokerage, and our clients.
