Post-License Education for New Brokers
Who is this for?
If your Broker License was first issued on or after November 1, 2023, this section applies to you.
Requirements:
45 hours of Post-License Education, to be completed by April 30, 2026.
This curriculum includes the required 1-hour Sexual Harassment Prevention Training.
Ethics Training
Who is this for?
All NAR members.
Requirements:
Complete the Ethics course once every three years.
This is tracked by your local Realtor association.
License Renewal
Who is this for?
All licensed agents.
Requirements:
Licenses must be renewed every two years on the schedule provided by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
You will need to complete required CE hours as outlined by IDFPR in your renewal cycle.
